Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Chives, finely sliced (optional)

Steps

  1. Crack eggs into a bowl; add milk/cream if using and a pinch of salt. Whisk until fully homogenous.
  2. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium‑low until foamy.
  3. Pour in eggs; with a spatula, push slowly from edges to center, forming soft curds.
  4. When mostly set but still glossy, remove from heat; residual heat will finish cooking.
  5. Season with pepper, top with chives, and serve immediately.
